This Tuesday was the inauguration of the only trade fair in Central America that exhibits the complete Apparel and Textile sector cluster, its capabilities, its added value and the products in which the region specializes through the Apparel Sourcing Show: “We weave the future, leading the region”.
The 32nd edition of the Apparel Sourcing Show (APSS) reaffirms this resilience. It is the only regional fair specialized in this industry and this year highlights the sustainability and innovation of the Guatemalan cluster.
With a consolidated ecosystem in the textile industry , Guatemala competes and positions itself as a strategic supplier in the “big leagues” of the sports market. From uniforms to fan apparel, products reach the NBA, NHL and MLB.
The U.S. Embassy reported that the U.S. and Guatemala committed to formalize a work plan to develop Puerto Quetzal, including additional feasibility studies, design planning and training by U.S. experts for the local infrastructure workforce.
