Funtejer
FUNTEJER Foundation was created in 2011 with the objective of having social projection and providing humanitarian assistance, especially in the impact areas of the Apparel and Textile sector.
The Foundation’s main purpose is to encourage, promote, develop and implement social responsibility programs and policies in the textile and apparel industry, with the aim of generating sustainable development.
The Foundation receives financial contributions as well as in-kind donations from companies in the sector.
These contributions are used to purchase supplies for emergencies caused by natural phenomena in the country and to develop social responsibility programs in communities.
FUNTEJER has contributed to the following sustainable projects:
Donation of sewing machinery for training of Women Widows of Urban Bus Pilots.
Donation of machinery and equipment to the Municipality of Masagua, Escuintla, with which the company currently manufactures uniforms for schools and institutes and sells its products to local stores.
Formation of the Cooperativa Integral de Producción Textil La Estancia Responsabilidad Limitada (COOPROTEX, R.L.), located in Estanzuela, Zacapa, formed by women, mostly single mothers or wives of migrants. This cooperative is dedicated to training in textile production, with the objective of promoting forms of income for women.
Donation of machinery to the Training Center of INTECAP Escuintla to train the victims of the Volcano of Fire in the course of Cutting and Sewing and that they can be inserted into the national economy.
