  2. Apparel and textile products enter the United States according to their fiber composition (cotton, wool, synthetic/artificial fibers, silk and non-cotton vegetable).
  3. All products imported by the United States are measured in square meter equivalents (SME). for its acronym in English which stands for Square Meter Equivalent. It is important to mention that each product has a conversion factor and is identified in Customs by export category and also by tariff item number (HTS), we cite the following examples:

  1. Apparel and textile products are classified into apparel and non-apparel. The non-apparel classification includes yarns, fabrics and miscellaneous products.
  2. Apparel and textile products enter the United States according to their fiber composition (cotton, wool, synthetic/artificial fibers, silk and non-cotton vegetable).
  3. All products imported by the United States are measured in square meter equivalents (SME). for its acronym in English which stands for Square Meter Equivalent. It is important to mention that each product has a conversion factor and is identified in Customs by export category and also by tariff item number (HTS), we cite the following examples:

  2. Total exports in EMS and US$ fell by 17.71% and 18.68%, respectively.

What are the main products that Guatemala exports to the United States?

  1. Cotton knitted shirts for men and women, categories 338/339 are the main export products, accounting for 35.75% of total exports.
  2. Men’s and women’s synthetic fiber knitted shirts, categories 638/639, account for 31.08% of the sector’s exports.
  3. These two products account for 66.83% and 72.43% of total Guatemalan trade.
